• CCN is hosting a booth again this year at Marple Pride Day, May 6, from 10 AM to 4 PM. We will need people to help at the booth. Two hour shifts are planned, anything will be appreciated. Ideas on an ecology theme are being considered. Have any? Email them or your ability to work to: mwmarshall@aol.com.

• The annual cleanup of Crum Creek is also on May 6. Meet at the west end of the Holland Bridge, Crum Creek and Old State Road, to help, at 9 AM.

• The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Watershed Management Program will be issuing their decision on the Pulte Stormwater Management Permit after January 20, 2006. Look on their website for their report. Go to the Southeast Regional page.

• Our engineer has examined the revised version of the plan Pulte originally submitted in May. She finds no significant improvements.

• Repeated sightings of American eagles in the area of the lower reservoir and along Crum Creek have alerted members to the possibility of a nearby nest. If you happen to see an eagle and can locate a probable nest site please call 610-328-6181.

• Jonathan Winder (Upper Providence) is a new board member.

April & May Calendar for Marple Commissioner & Planning Board Meetings

Marple Commissioners meet twice each month. On the first Monday of the month they have a work session. On the second Monday of the month they hold their regular meeting. Both begin at 7:00 pm and are open to the public. Meetings are held at the Marple Municipal Building (below the Marple Library) 227 South Sproul Road.

Pulte Home Builders will again appear many times before Marple boards to present plans for approval, seek various permits and offer evidence of compliance with Marple codes and conditions imposed by the Commissioners. Plan to be there.
